Tina Schutz
Owner & Funeral Director
Tina has been a funeral director at Evans-Nordby Funeral Homes for over 35 years. She the owner in 2022 when she purchased the business form Tom Weber. She specializes in providing families with personal guidance during difficult times. Tina is a graduate of the U of M Mortuary Science Program and is a member of the Minnesota Funeral Directors Association and the National Funeral Directors Association. She is also involved in continuing education to ensure she can always offer families the best services possible.
In her time away from the funeral home, Tina enjoys gardening, cooking and knitting. She also spends a lot of time with her husband, two daughters, sons-in-law, and granddaughter.

Brittney Chase
Funeral Director
Born and raised in South Dakota, Brittney moved to Minnesota to attend the University of Minnesota and graduated with degrees in Mortuary Science and Psychology. In 2008, she joined Evans-Nordby Funeral Homes as an intern and advanced to become a licensed director in 2009. She is mindful of the emotions and hardships families experience following the loss of a loved one and is dedicated to helping them through every step of the funeral-planning process.
Brittney is licensed in both Minnesota and South Dakota and is a member of the Minnesota Funeral Directors Association.
Outside of work, Brittney enjoys traveling, reading, painting, baking and cheering for the Minnesota Vikings. She cherishes spending time with her husband, Justin, and their two daughters.

Chelsea Smolenski
Funeral Director
Chelsea joined our team in the spring of 2017 & is passionate about providing caring services to our deceased guests & their families. She is a 2009 graduate of the University of Minnesota’s Mortuary Science program, Minnesota Roller Derby athlete & prep-room manager. She enjoys roller skating, adventuring, literally anything sparkly, botanical gardens, recharging in the lakes or oceans, live arts, brunch & the list goes on.

Rachel Evenson
Funeral Director
Rachel was born and raised in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. She attended the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire and obtained her associate’s degree before moving to Minnesota to attend the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities, graduating with a bachelor’s degree in Mortuary Science. After graduation, Rachel joined Evans-Nordby staff as an intern, obtained her funeral director’s license, and has continued her career as a funeral director and embalmer since 2019.
Rachel is a licensed funeral director in Minnesota, and a member of the Minnesota Funeral Directors Association, and National Funeral Directors Association.
In her free time, Rachel enjoys hiking, traveling, reading, crafting, and spending time with her family, and her cat, Daniel.

Mike joined Evans-Nordby in the fall of 2017 and has been an integral member of our team ever since. He graduated from the University of Minnesota with degrees in mortuary science and psychology and is a member of the Minnesota Funeral Directors Association.
He currently lives in New Brighton with his wife and 4 daughters. In his free time, Mike likes to cook, travel, and take weekend trips to the family cabin in Brainerd.

As our pre-planning specialist, Andrea supplies individuals and families with important information and caring support. Andrea graduated from the University of Minnesota Mortuary Science program in 1996. She is passionate about funeral service and is honored to assist families making their pre-planned arrangements. In her free time she loves spending time at their cabin in Northern Wisconsin with family and friends.

Stephanie Stolt
Pre-Planning Specialist
Stephanie began her career in funeral service as a Family Service Counselor at a cemetery and funeral home in Minneapolis after her grandfather died in 2002. After a few years at the cemetery, she focused on funeral preplanning. Stephanie’s primary role is conducting community presentations discussing the value and importance of having plans in place well before the time of need. Her favorite things are large dogs, traveling with her husband, and Mexican food.
