May 15, 1983 - June 10, 2023

Brent Jason Hunter, age 40, passed away peacefully on June 10, 2023. He was born May 15, 1983, to Kim and Shari Hunter in Robbinsdale, MN, and was baptized and confirmed at Brooklyn United Methodist Church in Brooklyn Center. Brent was a 2001 graduate of Park Center High School.

Brent worked for various insurance companies including Express Scripts, Medica, WEX, BIND and Hennepin Healthcare. He loved his cats – currently Ellie and Rosie – and referred to them as his “girls”. He also loved his biological daughter, Amanda, who soon will be 20. He was an avid Vikings and Twins fan and a video gamer. He spent many happy hours fishing and hunting with his father when he was young.

A Celebration of Life gathering will be held Tuesday, August 1, from 4:00 – 7:00 PM at Fish Lake Park Pavilion, 14900 Bass Lake Road, Maple Grove, MN 55311.

Brent is survived by his mother, Shari Hunter, of Maple Grove; brother, Alex Hunter, of Virginia Beach, VA; grandmother, Mary Hunter of Osakis; and several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Kim Hunter; grandparents, George Hunter and Clair and Esther Swartz; and special aunt, Trudy Trettel.

Blessed be the memory of Brent Jason Hunter.

Memorials preferred to the Golden Valley Humane Society.
