Ella Marie (Denstedt) Scherber, 76, of Maple Grove, MN died February 13, 2023.

Ella was born March 25, 1946, to Alta Mae (Phelps) Denstedt in Park Rapids, MN.

Ella moved after graduation from Park Rapids High School to the Osseo/Maple Grove, MN area in 1964 where she met and married Donald "Duck" Scherber on September 10, 1966. She worked for Honeywell for 28 years until she retired in 2005.She loved to play bingo/pulltabs/scratch offs, bake, camp, country music and Christmas. She was a devoted wife, mom and the best grandma and great grandma. She never missed a birthday party, baby shower, reunion, wedding or any event where she could spend time with her family. She was the most selfless, genuine person with the biggest heart.

She will be greatly missed!

She leaves behind her husband of 56 years, Donald "Duck" and their four children: son, Brian (Christi) Scherber; daughter, Deanna (Cori) Hemming; and twin daughters, Sheila Scherber and Sheryl (Brian) Renstrom; 9 grandchildren: Jessica, Kelsey, Olivia, Shawnasea, Tiffany, Cody, Jade, Blake, Saraya plus 4 bonus grandchildren, Jake, Travis, Trevor and Lexi; 5 great-grandchildren with 2 more on the way; brothers, Kenny (Darlene) Satter, Norman (Esther) Denstedt, and Dean Denstedt; along with many extended family/friends.

She is preceded in death by mother, Alta and sisters, Jan Panzer and Lila Baustian.

Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 AM Friday, June 2, 2023, with visitation 9:30-10:30 AM at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 9100 93rd Ave. N., Brooklyn Park. A Celebration of Life honoring Ella will be from 12 noon - 5 pm on Saturday, June 3, 2023, at the Acorn Picnic Pavilion at Elm Creek Park Reserve, 12400 James Deane Pkwy., Maple Grove.
