Helen “Joy” Greenwood, age 93 years, passed away peacefully in Ramsey, Minnesota after a long illness on February 11, 2024.

Joy was born on May 10,1930 to Angelo and Helen Garberding in Jackson, Missouri. She grew up in West Chicago, Illinois and graduated from high school in Grand Rapids, Minnesota. In addition to raising 9 children, at times she worked outside the home in various customer service roles. Her greatest achievement in business was the role of Executive Housekeeper at a local Sheraton Hotel. She was hired as part of the team opening up the new hotel and remained there for over 10 years.

Preceded in death by her parents; brother, William; husband, James (Jim); and her 1st daughter, Sue. Joy is survived by 8 children: sons, Chris (Judi),Tim, Dan, Jim, John and daughters, Betsy (Bill), Patty, Jane. She and her husband Jim of 68 years were blessed with 10 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

Her name says its all. What a Joy she was to her large family and others throughout her long life.
