Janet Nelson passed away peacefully on March 29, 2021 at Augustana Health Care Center after a short illness.

Janet was born July 26, 1947 in Cogswell, ND to Melvin and Mabel (Peterson) Nelson. In 1954 the family moved to a farm near Foreston, MN. She attended the school in Foreston through the 8th grade and then Milaca H.S. She worked various jobs in housekeeping and at Weymouth Farms packaging snacks and candy.

Janet loved spending time with her family at gatherings, especially at Christmas and the annual Peterson family reunions. Watching her nephews and nieces grow up brightened her life. Janet's religious faith was very important to her and she attended for many years Northbrook Alliance and Crossroads Alliance churches.

Janet is survived by her siblings, Darlene(Tim)DeWitt, Gary(Dolores)Nelson, Ruth Johnson, and Faye Nelson and 6 nephews and 2 nieces. She's preceded in death by her parents, Melvin and Mabel Nelson and brother-in-law, Don Johnson.
