Linnie Elizabeth Gross

July 13, 1940 - December 31, 2020

Linnie Elizabeth Gross, 80, passed away peacefully on December 31, 2020 with her daughter by her side.

Linnie graduated from Slocomb High School in 1959. She was the valedictorian of her class. She met her husband Gaylord Gross while he was serving in the Military at Fort Rucker. They married on April 25, 1959. They moved four times and settled in New Hope Minnesota to raise their family. After retirement, they moved to Champlin, Minnesota.

She loved caring for her grandchildren, feeding the birds, reading with her favorite cat on her lap, and taking care of others. She taught Sunday School for 40 years at North Center Baptist church. Linnie was a strong Christian and shared her faith through her gift of service.

Linnie was born July 13, 1940 in Dothan, Alabama. She was one of five children.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gaylord Gross after 43 years of marriage; brother Cecil Davis; and sister Lou Ellen Sapp.

She is survived by her three daughters, Faye Jensen, Sheri Jensen and Stacy (Shawn) Wilbur; grandchildren, Kara (Ryan) Forcier, Erik (Amanda) Jensen, Rachel Jensen, Aaron Jensen, Josh Jensen, Aleia Wilbur and Kyle Wilbur; great grandchildren, Zachary Forcier, Madi Forcier, Luke Jensen and Clara Jensen; sister Sibyl Parker; and brother Jeff (Dana) Davis.

A private funeral services will be held on January 8th, 2021 at Evans-Nordby Funeral Home 34 Second St. NE, Osseo, MN 55369 763-424-4000.

Interment at Gethsemane cemetery in New Hope, MN.

Her favorite bible verse was John 3:16, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
