Phyllis Marilyn (Berg) Cichoski

Phyllis was born on November 12, 1927 in Minneapolis, MN to Otto and Agnes (Eidem) Berg. She graduated from Patrick Henry High School in 1946. On July 31, 1948, she married Alphonse Cichoski, her high school sweetheart. They raised one son, Michael, and four daughters, Rita, Carol, Nancy, and Theresa.

Phyllis was a loving wife and mother and dedicated her life to raising her children and managing the household. She often volunteered at the schools they attended as nurse mother, lunchroom and classroom assistant and other activities. She loved spending time with her family and she held a special place in her heart for her dear grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Phyllis was preceded in death by her father, Otto; her mother Agnes; her brother, Otto "Buzz"; husband, Alphonse; and daughter, Carol Anne Mathias.

She is survived by her son, Michael; daughters, Rita (Steve) Bueltel, Nancy (Dwayne) Ganzel, and Theresa (Jim) Bergeron; son-in-law, Bill Mathias; Kathy Brue; along with grandchildren, Karyn & Bryan Cichoski, Christopher & Dustin Mathias, Tricia (Josh) Holstein, Hannah & Natalie Ganzel, and Joseph Bergeron; great-grandchildren Stephen Goetz & Isabel Holstein.

A funeral mass will be held at 11AM on Monday, October 25th at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Brooklyn Center, MN with visitation at 9:30AM. Interment will follow at St. Vincent de Paul Cemetery in Osseo, MN.

In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Jude Children's Hospital or a charity of your choice is preferred.
