Regina "Sam" Miller (Hicks)

Miller, Regina, of Maple Grove, MN passed away peacefully at the age of 76 on December 11, 2024, after battling both cancer and Alzheimer’s.

Regina will be remembered in part for her beautiful smile, long friendships, willingness to help everyone, love of life, fun and travel, and how important her family was to her. She was an avid Minnesota Twins fan and loved playing softball, travel, the cabin, dancing, working with kids, sunshine, watching birds, reading, and doing crossword puzzles.

Preceded in death by her parents George and Mary Hicks, from Glendive, MT, and brother Brad Hicks.

She is survived by her loving husband, Scott Futrell, children Nicole Miller (Woodie Dixon, Jr.), Ryan Miller (Amy), and 6 grandchildren, sisters Lynn Hicks, Jean (Hicks) Waltari (Bob), Joan Hicks, and Toni (Hicks) Decker, brothers Jim Hicks (Becky), Mark Hicks, and Michael Hicks (Maria), and many nieces and nephews.

Services will be held May 17th, 2025, 11AM at Evans-Nordby Funeral Home, 34 2nd Street NE, Osseo, MN 55369, with visitation at starting at 10AM. The family wishes to thank Visiting Angels, Joyful Companions, Grace Hospice Care, and The Willows at Arbor Lakes. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Alzheimer’s Association (www.alz.org) and CROSS Services (www.crossservices.org).

A celebration of Regina’s life will be held following the service.
