Robert Louis Oberstar, 83, of Brooklyn Park, MN passed away on Monday, April 25, 2022, with his family by his side.

Bob was born on July 9, 1938, in Eveleth, MN, the only child of Louis and Mary Oberstar. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Elaine (Roxstrom); son Doug (Dawn), son Greg (Christine), daughter Patty (Joe) Chamberlin; and grandchildren Ryan, Sarah, Lucas, and Trevor.

Bob graduated from UMD with a master's degree in education and taught 6th grade in the Osseo School District for 35 years. He was a proud son of the Iron Range who loved telling stories about Eveleth, spending time with his family, and watching sports, especially when his grandkids were playing.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Brooklyn Center on Friday, April 29 at 11:00 am with visitation 1 hour prior. A luncheon will immediately follow. Interment at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Cemetery in Osseo.
